Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
